Dr. Kirti Sharma, daughter of village Farsewala of Padampur tehsil and daughter-in-law of village Jasana of Nohar tehsil, who is a talented Hindi and Rajasthani story writer, has once again brought glory to the region at the national level.
Rajasthan Ratnakar, an organization of expatriate Rajasthanis in New Delhi, has honored her with 'Baghla Rajasthani Sahitya Puraskar'. Dr. Kirti gets this award for her recently published Rajasthani story book ‘Baat Ek Raat Ri’.
In a grand ceremony organized at India Habitat Center in New Delhi, Union Law and Justice Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal, Pali MP PP Choudhary and officials of the organization honored her with a shawl, memento and a cheque of Rs 25,000. Union Culture and Tourism Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat was also present on the occasion.
It is noteworthy that Dr. Kirti Sharma, senior Hindi teacher in Government Senior Secondary School, Chak 22 NTR, had earlier received Sahitya Akademi's Bal Sahitya Puraskar, Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru Bal Sahitya Puraskar along with other state and national level awards.
