National Service Scheme Day was celebrated by the NSS department under the guidance of Principal Dr. Rajesh Kumar Mahajan at DAV College. The history, importance and contribution of NSS to the country was highlighted.
NSS in-charge Sanjeev Kumar Gumber said that the NSS scheme was started on September 24, 1969 to develop the qualities of service, dedication, patriotism, sacrifice, mutual cooperation, leadership spirit and personality development in the students.
Along with this, under the Swachhta Pakhwada, a cleanliness campaign was conducted by the students in the college. Principal Dr. Mahajan exhorted the students to be aware of their duties only then the society can move forward.
