,Madhya Pradesh managed a solid 189 run lead against UT colts on the second day of the pre-quarterfinal match of Vijay Merchant Trophy being played at Ahmedabad on Saturday. In reply to MP's 313 in the first innings, Chandigarh collapsed for just 124 runs.
Anurag Budhwar (47) was the top scorer while Yashbardhan Singh Chauhan took five wickets for the bowling side. MP closed the day after scoring 191/4 in the second innings with a fine contribution from Arnab Sharda (72).
MP was leading by 380 runs before the stumps were drawn.
