FOUR NABBED BY CIA WITH 4.255 KG HEROIN AND 1.97 LAKH OF DRUG MONEY

Sleuths belonging to Crime Investigation Agency (CIA) have arrested four drug smugglers and have recovered 4.255 kg heroin and drug money worth Rs. 1.97 Lakh from them.

Bhupinder Singh SSP said that following the inputs, a trap was laid by the CIA sleuths near Ali ke village. “The accused identified as Swarn Singh (20) resident of Kamalewala village in Sadar area, Gurwant Singh (30) resident of Mastewala village in Makhu block, Sandeep Singh (23) resident of Hajara Ram Singh Wala in Jalalabad area and Manpreet Singh alias Money (27) resident of Nurpur village in Zira Sadar area, nabbed near Ali ke village while they were coming a car. During the checking of the car, the consignment was recovered along with the drug money”, said SSP.

The accused have been booked under section 21 of NDPS Act at Sadar police station (FIR No. 107 Dated 19.05.25).

SSP said that one of the accused Gurwant Singh had already been booked in five separate cases including NDPS, Arms Act and Mining. “The other accused Manpreet alias Money had also been booked in two cases including one case under NDPS Act”, said SSP.

“The police has started its investigation to find out the backward and forward links of the case. The police will try to find out where this consignment was going to be delivered”, said SSP.
