While extending support to the agitation launched by farmers against “black-laws” of the central government, the All India Scheduled Caste Yuvjan Samaj has decided to support the call for Punjab Bandh on September 25.

NGO’s state president Gopichand Sander today convened a meeting in a hotel and said that the agricultural reforms bills were anti-farmer. The bills will destroy the farmers and farm workers of the country. Until the government withdraws the Agriculture Amendments Bills, the farmers will be fully supported. Despite strong opposition of the people the Modi government has got the bills passed in the Parliament, he added.

He said that BJP has started ruining Punjab through the anti-farmer bills and the SAD supported every wrong decision of the central government for its vested interests. Harsimrat Kaur Badal’s resignation is also a misleading move for the people of Punjab. If the procurement of the crop smashes in the mandis, the private companies will buy the crop at the desired rate, which will hit the farmers financially.

Sander called for support from the shopkeepers, transport owners, job holders and general public in support of the September 25 Punjab bandh, so that the agricultural ordinance could be rescinded.

At the same time, he questioned Abohar MLA Arun Narang to clarify his stand on the bills passed by the government whether he is with the farmers or against the farmers. Farmers who have voted for the BJP in the Vidhan Sabha and Lok Sabha elections were feeling cheated now, so MLA Narang should come clean on the union govt’s game-plan to ruin farmers
