A SINGLE SHOT PISTOL WITH TWO LIVE CARTRIDGES HAS BEEN RECOVERED FROM THE ARRESTED ACCUSED AT SPOT, HE WAS ABSCONDING FOR 9 MONTHS IN A CASE OF EXTORTION IN DELHI CARRYING A REWARD OF RS. 20,000/- FROM DELHI POLICE ON THE INFORMATION LEADING TO HIS ARREST IN ABOVE CASE, SADDAM HUSSAIN WITH OTHER MEMBERS OF GANG DEMANDED EXTORTION OF RS. 20 LACS FROM AN ADVOCATE IN DELHI. MODUS OPERANDI OF THE MEMBERS OF THIS GANG WAS TO LURE THE GULLIBLE PERSONS BY SENDING THEM FRIEND REQUESTS FOR CHATTING, SUBSEQUENTLY PREPARE THEIR INDECENT ONLINE VIDEOS AND DEMAND EXTORTION FAILING OF WHICH THEY USED TO THREATEN THE VICTIMS TO MAKE THOSE VIDEOS VIRAL ON U-TUBE AND OTHER SOCIAL MEDIA PLATFORMS IF THEY DID NOT PAY THE EXTORTION MONEY.

Team of Special Cell SR led by Insp Ishwar Singh and Insp. Satvinder supervised by ACP Attar Singh has arrested an absconding member of an interstate gang of Mewat based extortionists indulging in committing heinous crimes like extortion in Delhi NCR and other adjoning states.
Arrested accused is Saddam Hussain (age 28 yrs) s/o Faqrudin r/o Village Kot, Tehsil Mandawar, Distt Dausa (Rajasthan). He was arrested on 06/08/2022 near Village Satbari Chhatarpur main road. A single shot pistol of .315 with two live cartridges was recovered from him at spot. Saddam Hussain was wanted in a case of online extortion, blackmailing and criminal intimidation of a person through social media in the area of PS Barakhamba Road, Delhi. Saddam Hussain was declared proclaimed offender by the trial court in this case on 22/05/2022. He was carrying a reward of Rs 20,000/- for the information leading to his arrest in above case.Mr. Jasmeet Singh, IPS, DCP, Special Cell, said, modus operandi of the gang members was to lure the gullible persons in Delhi NCR by sending friend requests to them through Facebook and other social media platforms and start chatting with them by posing as female.After chatting for a few days and winning the confidence of their prospective victims, members of the gang used to make incriminating online vulgar videos of these gullible persons by luring them to indulge in indecent acts by prompting them by their provoking postures.
There was an information with Special Cell/SR that Saddam Hussain would come near Village Satbari between 2 pm to 3 pm to meet his associate. A Raiding party led by Insp. Ishwar Singh and consisting of Insp. Satvinder, ASI Sukhvinder, ASI Sazid, HC Sachin, HC Aash Mohd., HC Harvinder etc was constituted. At about 2.30 pm on 06/08/2022, accused Saddam Hussain was spotted coming towards Village Satbari on Chhatarpur Road where he was apprehended and a single shot pistol of .315 with two live cartridges was recovered from him. A case under arms act was registered in PS Special Cell in this regard.

Arrested accused Saddam Hussain is the kingpin of the interstate syndicate of this Mewat based criminals indulging in extortion from the gullible people of Delhi NCR. He has disclosed that he along with 4/5 of his associates had demanded extortion from one advocate in Delhi firstly after luring and then trapping him in their dragnet by making his indecent online video to blackmail him and thereafter threatening him to pay the extortion money failing which they would upload his indecent video on social media platforms or send to his family members.
Mr. Jasmeet Singh, IPS, DCP, Special Cell, said, modus operandi of the gang members was to lure the gullible persons in Delhi NCR by sending friend requests to them through Facebook and other social media platforms and start chatting with them by posing as female.
After chatting for a few days and winning the confidence of their prospective victims, members of the gang used to make incriminating online vulgar videos of these gullible persons by luring them to indulge in indecent acts by prompting them by their provoking postures.
They further used to demand the extortion from their targets by threatening them to make these videos viral or send the same to their family members, relatives or friends if they failed to pay the extortion amount. Accused persons used to get the extortion money transferred from their victims in the bank accounts provided by them.
Accused Saddam Hussain has further revealed that his role in gang was to get prepare/shoot indecent videos of their victims with the help of Izazul, Amzad Khan and others. He also used to demand the extortion from their victims by intimidating them by exposing them by uploading their indecent videos on social media. He has also disclosed that members of the gang used bank accounts of poor and illiterate people to get the money from their victims transferred in these accounts by offering some money to these poor innocuous/ignorant persons without knowing the consequence of that.
Accused Saddam Hussain has disclosed that he with the help of other members of the gang have extorted money from more than 50 persons in Delhi during the last six months. Further interrogation of Saddam Hussain is on to identify their other victims.
