ACCUSED RESIDENT OF JALANDHAR WAS NABBED WITH ACCOMPLICE AND CO PARTER FROM DELHI , 13 PASSPORT RECOVERED

Police achieved a major success by arresting the accused Jagjit Singh @ Sonu Jeeta @ Rattan (38 yrs) S/o Sh. Baldev Singh R/o H. No. 456 A, Urban Estate, PH-1, PS- Division No. 7, Jalandhar (PB) who on the pretext of marrying innocent girls and taking them along to Unites States of America (USA) use to cheat them and extort money from them and their family.
On the direction of W/SSP Chandigarh a special team under the supervision of Sh. Gurmukh Singh DSP/Central, comprising Insp. Jasbir Singh SHO/PS-11, Chandigarh was constituted and a case FIR No. 121 dt. 07.09.2022 u/s 406, 498A, 420, 323, 376, 506, 120B added 467,468,471 IPC PS-11 IPC was registered.
On the very same day police team nab the accused Jagjit Singh @ SonuJeeta @ Rattan (38 yrs) S/o Sh. Baldev Singh R/o H. No. 456 A, Urban Estate, PH-1, PS- Division No. 7, Jalandhar (PB) .
Complainant Age 36 years reported that she met Jagjit Singh S/o Sh. Baldev Singh R/o # 67, Vijay Nagar, Police Division No. 2, Jalandhar, PB through matrimonial site who introduced him as US Citizenship. On 03.06.2022 her marriage was solemnized with the accused Jagjit Singh according to Sikh rites at Artista palace, Sunny Enclave, Kharar, Distt. Mohali, PB.
Around Rs. 20 lakh were spent by her parents in the marriage and sufficient valuable thing were also given by her parents as well as relative. Soon after the marriage her husband started residing with her parental house in Sec-24, Chandigarh. Later on, he insisted the complainant as well as her relatives to apply Visa through him and collected all passports and demanded 75 Lacs amount of money.
That after receiving aforesaid money, the accused Jagjit Singh started demanding more money from her parents & brother on one pretext or the other. Accused Jagjit Singh started giving pressure to my family members that if they would not gave him money, he would leave me. After fulfilling his illegitimate demands also, accused Jagjit Singh started abusing her mentally & physically.
Later on, she came to know that alleged person Jagjit Singh was already married with one girl R/o Jalandhar and one baby girl was also born from their wedlock & another marriage was also registered with lady R/o Sector-35 A, Chandigarh.
She further added that his father namely Balwinder Singh and mother Sunita Malhotra, are his real parents & whereas alleged introduced her that they are her business partners at the time of Roka.
Apart from this, his sister and relative Manjit Singh were also involved in the said conspiracy. Police has recovered a fake Adhar Card & PAN card in the name of Rattan Kumar S/o Jatinder Kumar R/o # 601, 3rd floor, Shivaji Enclave, New Delhi & photocopy of Joshan Singh Shergill S/o Sh. BaldevKishan R/o # 81, Defence Colony, Bhodsi, Gurgaon, HR from the accused.During interrogation it came to light that accused Jagjit Singh was working as a travel agent with co-partners Mohd. Café, New Delhi and he have solominized 4 marriages before registration of the said case, which are as under.Further police party is being dispatched in the area of Delhi, Patiala, Jalandhar and other places of the Punjab to nab his associates.

*In the 2007 the accused Jagjit Singh married & got divorced from her after 3 months,
*In year 2009, the accused Jagjit Singh married and have one daughter from the wedlock,
*In the year 2017 the accused Jagjit Singh married lady r/o Nawa Sahar, PB.
*In year 2022, the accused Jagjit Singh married.
*In year 2022, the accused Jagjit Singh married the present complainant.
CASES FOUND REGISTERED AGAINST THE ACCUSED
*FIR No 0068 of 2017 U/s 498-A, 420, 120-B,419,494,495,465,467,468,471,406,376,506, 376-D of IPC in PS-City Phagwara (undergone 2 year in Kapurthala Jail).,
*Complaint No. 7672 dated 02.12.2017, FIR NO 0291 of 2017 P.S. Kotwali, Kapurthala, a separate case against accused got registered for using mobile in Jail,
*Case FIR No. 15/11 u/s 420 IPC PS-SadarJalandhar, PB. (accused got the bail after 7 months in the case then he had gone to USA and in the year 2012 he was declared PO & Deport from USA to India),
*On 9.4.17 case U/S 376,420,465,467,468,471 IPC PS-Division No. 7 Jalandhar registered against accused, in which he was arrested on 9.7.17 and also lodged Kapurthala and Nabha Jail from 9.7.17 to 30.3.2022.After that on 30.3.22 he got bail fromHon’ble Supreme court of India.,
*FIR No. 0090 of 2021, also found registered against accused at PS- Bhogpur U/s 406,420 of IPC and U/s 13 of Punjab Travel Professionals (Regulation) Act, 2014.
On 08.09.2022 accused Jagjit Singh @ SonuJeeta @ Rattan (38 yrs)produced before the Hon’ble court of Sh. Bharat JMIC, Chandigarh in the present case and 4 days police remand was obtained for further interrogation.
On 10.09.22 co- accused namely Manjit Singh S/o Tarlok Singh # 13 Amar Bagh Bharson Road, PS-Tripari, Distt Patiala age 63 yrs and Paramdeep Singh S/o Pardeep Singh R/o # 141 Green Park, PS-Division No. 6, near Bus stand Jalandhar PB age 36 yrs have been arrested.
On 11.09.22 accused Mohmand Cafe S/o Jan Mohmand R/o H.No D89, DD Flat, Mata Sundri Road, New Delh has been arrested from Delhi and 13 Passport have been recovered in this case and one day police remand Mohmand Café S/o Jan Mohmand is obtained from Hon’ble Court.
Further police party is being dispatched in the area of Delhi, Patiala, Jalandhar and other places of the Punjab to nab his associates.
