In a major Crackdown on Narcotic’s Operations, Operation Cell of Chandigarh Police under the supervision of Sh. Ketan Bansal, IPS, SP/Operations, succeeded in arresting drug peddler namely Raju Kumar Shah S/o Madan Shah R/O Village Murwaneraji PS Isuapur, District- Chapra (Saran), Bihar age-22 years.

Brief of the case FIR No. 225 dated 19.09.2022 U/s 15 NDPS ACT PS SECTOR-36:  On 19.09.2022, SI Ramesh Kumar 1641/CHG along with police party apprehended one person namely Raju Kumar Shah S/o Madan Shah R/O Village Murwaneraji PS Isuapur, District- Chapra (Saran), Bihar age-22 years from T point Back Side ISBT Sector-43, Chandigarh and 20 Kilograms & 950 Grams Poppy Husk was recovered from his possession. Thereafter he has been arrested in above mentioned FIR.

Today i.e. on 20.09.2022 accused Raju Kumar Shah was produced in the learned Hon’ble court for the further proceeding and gets his 02 days Police remand for further investigation.

Previous record of the accused Raju Kumar Shah.: Raju Kumar Shah has tainted past, in the month of June -2022, he was earlier arrested by Punjab Police (Samrala) in NDPS Act (10 KG Poppy Husk ). He was bail out on 11 August 2022 and again started smuggling of narcotic contrabands in the area of Chandigarh.
