Rock Zone captain Mohd Arsalan Khan’s valiant knock of 74 went in vain as his team fell short of Rose Zone’s first-innings total of 338 in the ongoing UTCA Men’s Senior Multi-Day Tournament being played at GMSSS-26 on Sunday. Rose Zone was declared the winner on the basis of a first-innings lead.

After winning the toss, Rock Zone elected to bowl first. Rose Zone posted a solid total of 338 with Nikhil Thakur (69) as the top scorer

In response, Rock Zone managed 279 runs with skipper Khan leading from the front. His brisk 74 off 88 deliveries was studded with ten boundaries and a six which kept hopes alive. However, his dismissal triggered a collapse and the rest of the batting lineup failed to build partnerships. Ramanjeet Singh also added a useful 58 but it wasn't enough to avoid conceding the lead.
