A 90-day special campaign titled ‘Mediation for the Nation’ has been launched by the District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), Fazilka. This initiative is being undertaken under the leadership of Navjot Kaur, Member Secretary, Punjab State Legal Services Authority and Avtar Singh, District & Sessions Judge-cum-Chairman, District Legal Services Authority, Fazilka. The campaign is scheduled to run upto 30th September 2025.

Under this campaign, various types of pending cases in district and tehsil courts shall be resolved amicably through mediation with mutual consent of the parties.

During the course of this campaign, disputes relating to matrimonial issues, accident compensation, domestic violence, cheque bounce cases, commercial disputes, government service-related matters, criminal compoundable cases, consumer disputes, loan recovery, property partition, land acquisition, and other civil matters can be settled through mediation.

Ruchi Swapna Sharma, Secretary, District Legal Services Authority, Fazilka, has made a public appeal to all citizens whose cases are pending in courts to come forward and resolve their issues through mutual consent at the Mediation Centre.

The public is hereby informed that cases resolved through mediation take less time and help in building trust and cordial relations between the parties involved.
