With the aim of empowering young women through awareness and knowledge, the Women Studies Centre of Gopichand Arya Mahila College organized a special workshop on flagship government schemes. The event was held in collaboration with Nehru Yuva Kendra, Ferozepur—an autonomous body under the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India.
The event was graced by Manisha Rani, District Youth Officer, MY Bharat, Ferozepur. She encouraged the students to stay informed about government policies, highlighting that schemes like PM Ujjwala Yojana, Jal Jeevan Mission, and Ayushman Bharat have had a significant impact on the lives of women, especially in rural areas.
Resource persons Sushil Kumar (Water Supply and Sanitation Department), Manbir Singh, Deputy Mass Media and Information Officer and Arun, Block Level Extension Officer provided clear and student-friendly insights into schemes such as Ayushman Bharat (PMJAY), PM Mudra Yojana, Digital India, Skill India Mission, Swachh Bharat Mission, and others, placing special emphasis on how these initiatives promote women’s health, hygiene, education, and entrepreneurship.
