MINERVA ACADEMY CRICKET CLUB & UT CRICKET ASSOCIATION WIN THEIR LEAGUE MATCHES

An Superb Century by India Under-19 World Cup Winning Captain Yash Dhull 121 runs in just 59 balls including 12 huge Sixes and 8 fours enabled Minerva Academy Cricket Club,Chandigarh beat Delhi Ran Star Cricket Club, Delhi by 7 wickets in the 30th All India J.P.Atray Memorial Cricket Tournament played here on Saturday at Mahajan Cricket Ground, Chandigarh. Yash Dhull of Minerva Academy Cricket Club, Chandigarh was declared Player of the match. The player of the match award was given by Sh.Subhashe Mahajan former Ranji player, Col.Bhanot , President of Mohali Distt.Cricket Association & Match Referee Amarjit Kumar.

Batting first Delhi Ran Star Cricket club scored 179 runs all out in 49.3 overs. Aditya Verma scored 56 runs , Anmol Sharma scored 36 runs and Shubham Dubey scored 23 runs not out. For the bowling side Minerva team captain Mayank Rawat claimed 4 wickets , Harshit Saini & Gursimran Singh claimed 2 wickets each and Arjun Raparia & Sohraab Dhaliwal claimed 1 Wicket each. In reply Minerva Academy Cricket Club, Chandigarh achieved the target 183 runs in just 17.1 overs with the loss of 3 wickets. World Cup under 19 winning captain Yash Dhull Scored 121 runs in just 59 balls, Arpit Rana scored 23 runs and Anuj Rawat scored 21 not out runs. For the bowling side Shubham Dubey , Anmol Sharma and Aditya Verma claimed 1 Wicket each.

In the 2nd match of the day which was played at Cricket Stadium, Sector-16, Chandigarh UT Cricket Association, Chandigarh beat Reserve bank of India by 50 runs. Earlier Sh.Sanjay Tandon , President of UT Cricket Association inaugurated the Tournament . On this occasion Sh.Chander Shekhar former DGP of Punjab, Sh.Vivek Atray Ex.IAS & Convenor of the Tournament , Capt Sushil Kapoor , Organising Secretary of the Tournament & Match refree Gautam Sharma were also present. Raman Bishnoi of UT Cricket Association was declared Player of the match.

Batting first UT Cricket Association , Chandigarh scored 251 runs in 50 overs with the loss of 9 wickets.Raman Bishnoi scored highest 95 runs in 78 balls including 3 sixes and 8 fours, Shivam Bhambri scored 28 runs , Tushar Joshi scored 26 runs and Jaskirat Singh Mehra scored 23 runs.for bowling side Reserve Bank of India bowlers Rishit Saini claimed 3 wickets , Captain Ankit Rajput & Ameya Dandekar claimed 2 wickets each while Ali Murtaza claimed 1 wicket.In reply Reserve bank of India scored 200 runs in 50 overs with the loss of 7 wickets. Jyot Chhaya scored highest 53 runs ,Rajesh Bishnoi score 43 not out runs . Sumit Kumar scored 27 runs, Chiranjeevi Scored 23 runs and Kuldeep Hooda scored 21 runs. For the bowling side UT Cricket Association bowler Vishu Kashyap claimed 3 wickets , Raman Bishnoi and Rohit Dhanda claimed 2 wickets each .
