The Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat (EBSB-I) Camp, hosted by 25 Punjab Battalion NCC Abohar under the PHHP&C Directorate/Ludhiana Group at NCC Academy, Malout, concluded on Tuesday after a vibrant 12-day program. The camp brought together 450 cadets and staff from Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Chandigarh (host directorate), and Uttarakhand (guest directorate) to foster cultural integration and mutual understanding, embodying the spirit of Unity in Diversity.
Cadets showcased their talents in various competitions, including Painting, Tableaux Making, Debate, Quiz, and sports such as Volleyball, Kho-Kho, and Tug of War. Cultural performances in dance, song, and the National Integration Awareness Programme (NIAP) highlighted the rich diversity of the participating states. Outstanding performers were felicitated with medals and trophies during the closing ceremony.
In his closing address, Col Rajeev Sirohi, Camp Commandant, summarized the camp’s achievements, applauding the cadets’ enthusiasm and commitment to cultural exchange and national integration. He highlighted the excursions, EXPA programs, guest lectures, and competitive events that enriched the cadets’ experiences. The ceremony concluded with the felicitation of cadets for their exceptional performances, leaving them with a sense of pride and accomplishment.
The EBSB-I Camp was a resounding success, with cadets from Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Chandigarh, and Uttarakhand returning home with enriched perspectives, lifelong skills, and a deeper appreciation for India’s diverse cultural fabric.
