DEVOTEES URGED TO PARTICIPATE IN LARGE NUMBERS IN THE NAGAR KIRTANS

Punjab Tourism and Cultural Affairs Minister Tarunpreet Singh Sond announced today that the Punjab Government will commemorate the 350th Martyrdom Anniversary of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji with utmost reverence and on a grand scale. To ensure the smooth conduct and success of these celebrations, the Department of Tourism and Cultural Affairs has been designated as the nodal department.
Sharing details of the four Nagar Kirtans, which will commence from November 19, Sond urged the Sangat (devotees) to participate wholeheartedly in these spiritual processions that will culminate at Sri Anandpur Sahib.
He informed that the main Nagar Kirtan will begin on November 19 from Srinagar, passing through Jammu, Pathankot, Dasuya, Hoshiarpur, Mahilpur, and Garhshankar, and will reach Sri Anandpur Sahib on November 22. The halts will be at Jammu (Nov 19), Pathankot (Nov 20), and Hoshiarpur (Nov 21). The total route will cover a distance of 544 kilometers.
