The mortal remains of Brijmohan Bhai, former General Secretary of the Brahma Kumaris, were consigned to flames Sunday evening at the Muktidham in Amthala near Abu Road in Rajasthan. Thousands of people from different states of India and abroad bid a tearful adieu to the tall spiritual leader who was born at Amritsar on January 7, 1934.
Bihar Governor Mohammad Arif Khan said at the condolence meeting that his passing was not only a loss to the Brahma Kumaris but also a great loss to the spiritual world. He was a brilliant orator and dedicated his life to the welfare of people. Khan said, "I had a long association with Brijmohan Bhai. He was a scholar of the Gita. He dedicated his life to public welfare and shaped thousands of lives.”
Brahma Kumaris Chief Administrator, BK Mohini Didi, Additional Chief Administrators BK Jayanti, BK Munni, Joint Chief Administrator BK Santosh, Additional General Secretaries BK Karuna and BK Mrityunjaya, Director of Om Shanti Retreat Center BK Asha were present.
Those who paid tributes included Union Minister for Tribal Affairs Durga Das Uikey, Madhya Pradesh Minister Kailash Vijayvargiya, Jalore Sirohi MP Lumbaram Chaudhary and BJP District President Raksha Bhandari.
Brijmohan Bhai had passed away on October 9.
