A grand and historic event, 'Mission Prasannata Abhivadan Mahotsav', at Swaminarayan Akshardham, New Delhi, was dedicated to honor and felicitate the devotion, discipline, and dedication of 15,666 BAPS children and their parents who, with the blessings and guidance of Mahant Swami Ji Maharaj, accomplished the remarkable feat.
Children aged between 3 and 13 years memorized and recited the ‘Satsang Diksha’ scripture in Sanskrit. Among them, 54 children from Delhi alone set a new milestone by flawlessly reciting the entire text from heart. This achievement marks a remarkable and inspiring chapter in the modern times.
Children said that earlier they found it difficult to read and pronounce Sanskrit verses, but after memorizing Satsang Diksha, it has become much easier for them. Mahant Swami Ji Maharaj joined the online event from Gondal, Gujarat, to bestow his blessings and specially honor all the children who had memorized the Satsang Diksha text.
In an era of digital age, where the current generation primarily remembers and follows 'reel trends,' these children, most of whom study in English-medium schools, have successfully memorized the entire 'Satsang Diksha' (315 verses), a scripture of the Sanatan Hindu Dharma. These children have, in effect, revived the Vedic tradition of learning.
During the last Diwali celebrations, Mahant Swami Ji Maharaj resolved that 10,000 children should memorize the 'Satsang Diksha' scripture by the next Diwali. However, 15,666 BAPS children achieved this feat before Diwali this year.
