In a major breakthrough, the Police Station Crime, of UT Chandigarh has succeeded in busting two interstate Narco Drug syndicates. The case were cracked under the leadership of Sh. Jasbir Singh, (SP-Crime, Chandigarh), with the Supervision of Sh. Dhiraj Kumar, DSP-Crime, and led by Insp. Satvinder, SHO, Police Station-Crime Sector 11, Chandigarh.

DETAILS OF FIR NO.23/2025 U/S 21, 22 & 29 NDPS, PS-CRIME

On 07.11.2025, acting on a secret information, a team of Crime Branch headed by ASI Bhupinder Singh apprehended are Ashwani Kumar @ Ashu from Sector-40, Chandigarh, and recovered 47.80 grams of Heroin from his possession and accordingly his arrest was made in this case.
His disclosure led to the arrest of Sonu @ Kallu @ Don and Salman @ Munna from Sector-56 and Maloya, Chandigarh. During interrogation, accused Sonu @ Kallu @ Don caused recovery of 100.60 grams heroin and 2.01 grams ICE on 11.11.2025. Further disclosures led to the arrest of Sunil @ Darchi and Anup from Sector-38D and Sector-25. The interrogation of accused Anup exposed a major interstate supplier Bunty, resident of Dhakoli, Zirakpur. A raid at his residence resulted in massive recovery of 523 grams cocaine, Rs. 20,64,750/- cash, gold ornaments and other incriminating materials. Accused Bunty was arrested from his residence. During further investigation, massive recovery of 490 grams cocaine from accused Bunty, Heroin 21.45 Grams from Sunil @ Darchi and Heroin 10.26 Grams, 25 Crack Balls - 12.59 Gram & Durg Money Rs. 23,500/- from Anup have been effected in this case. The investigation of the case is going on.

Modus Operandi:

From investigation till date, it has been found that the drug network was working at different levels. Local peddlers like Ashu, Sunil @ Darchi and Salman used to buy small and medium quantities of heroin from Sonu @ Kallu and sold it in the Tri-City area. The main interstate supplier, Bunty, was bringing Cocaine from a man named Sunny in Uttam Nagar, Delhi, and Bunty was also procuring other synthetic drugs from African nationals based in Delhi.

The accused Sonu is illiterate and previously he does work of Shoe polish in Market area. He also does work in money finance. He was in need of money, then he came to contact with some drugs supplier and started work of supply drugs for money to full fill his requirement.

Age: 33 Years
Qualification : 12th pass
He has worked in a mobile phone repairing shop for 6–7 years. He started supplying drugs for monetary gain and to fulfil his financial needs.

6) Bunty s/o Roshan
Resident of: R/o A 37 Him giri Enclave New Burari Transport Attourithy Delhi
Age: 39 years.
Qualification : 10th pass
He is 10th pass and used to sell ladies’ stoles (chunni) in Delhi. He started supplying drugs for monetary gain and to fulfil his financial needs.

DETAILS OF FIR NO.24/2025 U/S 21, 22 & 29 NDPS, PS-CRIME, UT, CHANDIGARH

On 19.11.2025, acting on a secret information, a team of Crime Branch headed by SI Daljeet Singh apprehended two suspect persons Rahul of Sector 25, Chandigarh (23 years) and Arun Kumar of Daddu Majra, Chandigarh (32 years), and recovered 109.56 grams of cocaine and 36.80 grams of cocaine from their possession and accordingly their arrest were made in this case. Further investigation led to the arrest of three more accused namely Inderjeet Singh @ Rohit, Tinku, Akash and Vishal. The investigation of the case is going on.

Modus Operandi:

The investigation has revealed that the accused were running drugs supply network in the Tri-City and nearby areas. Arun Kumar was the main handler who bought cocaine from suppliers based at Delhi. He also used several bank accounts to receive drug money. Arun Kumar has been supplying cocaine to Rahul for the last one year. Rahul was contacted by local buyers and delivered drugs by placing them at milestone locations and sharing photos and location pins to avoid meeting anyone directly. He received drug money through third-party bank accounts with the help of Akash, who handled transactions and supplies. Inderjeet Singh @ Rohit (Arun’s brother-in-law) acted as a middleman between Arun and a Punjab-based supplier named Gill, whom he knew through Instagram.

1) Rahul S/o Sh. Om Parkash
Resident of: # 2662 Sector 25, Chandigarh.
Age: 23 years
Qualification: illiterate
Rahul is illiterate. His father works as a shoe polisher in the market area, and Rahul himself sells door mats in the market. Arun Kumar, the main handler, is his friend. Rahul started selling drugs on Arun Kumar’s instructions as he was in need of money. He used to procure small quantities of cocaine (20–30 grams) from Arun Kumar, prepare one-gram packets, and sell them. He delivered the drugs by placing them at milestone drop points and received the money through UPI.
2) Arun Kumar S/o Sh. Rajesh Kumar
Resident of: #2596 Daddu Majra, Colony Chandigarh
Age: 32 years
Qualification : 12th pass
Arun Kumar is 12th pass. His father earlier worked as a cobbler and has now shifted to selling clothes from their residence, where Arun Kumar also assists him. Previously, Arun Kumar worked as a street vendor in the Sector-17 Market, Chandigarh. He is the brother-in-law (Jija) of arrestee Inderjeet and the brother-in-law (Sala) of arrestees Rahul and Akash. Arun Kumar has been involved in drug-selling activities for the last two years. He entered into this illegal activities of selling drugs through his friends with the motive of earning easy and quick money.

3) Inderjeet Singh @ Rohit S/o Rashpal
Resident of: #120 DMC Chandigarh
Age: 28 years.
Inderjeet is 12th pass and currently works at his father’s confectionery (Kiryana) shop. Earlier, he worked for 2–3 years as a sales executive at Bim Global Company (a wine manufacturing company) in the Industrial Area, Chandigarh. Arun Kumar is his brother-in-law (Jija). He has been selling drugs for the last one year, and he started this activity on the advice of Arun Kumar.

4) Tinku S/O Rajinder Kumar
Resident of: R2426 Sec. 25 Bhaskar Colony Chandigarh Age 24 Years
Age: 24 Years.
Tinku is a graduate. Earlier, he worked at a chemist shop and at wedding events. He also worked for five years as a sales executive at Williom Grands Company (a wine manufacturing company) in the Industrial Area, Chandigarh. He came into these illegal activities through Arun Kumar.
5) Aakash S/o Om Parkash
Resident of: H No. 2662, Sector 25 Chandigarh – Age – 27 Years
Age: 27 Years
Akash is 8th pass. Earlier, he worked as a peon at a property dealer’s office and as a helper at a shop in Sector 37, Chandigarh. He is currently working as a Rapido rider on his Activa. Due to financial problems, he came into these illegal activities through Arun Kumar. He needed money for his son’s treatment. He supplied drugs to customers and received the money through UPI.

6) Vishal S/o Gurmeet Singh
Resident of: Village Naushera Pattan, Tehsil Mukerian, Distt Hosiyarpur, Punjab
Age: 23 Years
He is graduate in Pharmacy. Earlier he had worked at Choco Patel Bakery at Pathankot (PB) for 4-5 months. He has been currently working at toll plaza, Nizerpur Toll Plaza (Amirtsar) since 01 year. He used to supply drugs for money.
