EMPOWERING GIRLS THROUGH SELF-DEFENCE TRAINING, A CSR INITIATIVE SUPPORTED BY IRFC

In a significant step towards promoting women’s safety, empowerment, and community well-being, the Self-Defence Training Programme is being launched under the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) collaboration with Indian Railway Finance Corporation (IRFC).

This initiative reflects IRFC’s unwavering commitment to supporting social development, gender equality, and capacity building through impactful community-driven programmes.

Guidance and Support

The initiative is being implemented under the esteemed guidance of: Shri Manoj Kumar Dubey — Chairman and Managing Director, IRFC Shri Himanshu Jain, IAS — Deputy Commissioner, Ludhiana Smt. Pragati Verma, IAS — Additional Deputy Commissioner, Ludhiana Smt. Dimple Madan — District Education Officer, Ludhiana Shri Kulveer Singh— District Sports Coordinator, Ludhiana

The programme aims to train school and college girls in essential self-defence techniques, fostering confidence, discipline, mental strength, and physical fitness. It seeks to build safer communities by empowering young women to respond proactively to challenges and threats in daily life.

Training conducted by certified martial arts professionals and defence experts Provision of self-defence kits and sports kits to participants 12-day intensive on-ground training modules focusing on real-world safety preparedness Participation certificates awarded and endorsed under the CSR framework.
