In a shocking development, former Punjab IPS officer Amar Singh Chahal resident of Patiala , allegedly shot himself on Monday. He was rush to Park Hospital in precarious condition. He got sever chest injury.

Initial reports said this was 'suicide attempt'. It has been revealed that a note has also been recovered from the scene. It indicates that the former IPS officer was undergoing financial distress. He had been a victim of an online fraud of Rs. 8 Crores.

A letter  was also found in which he has addressed PM Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, and Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman. He has alleged that he was defrauded of nearly Rs 8 crore by a “highly sophisticated gang of scammers.” Police investigating the whole of the matter.
