PUNJAB SC COMMISSION ORDERS SUSPENSION OF PRINCIPAL REKHA MAHAJAN OF AMRITSAR DISTT.

The Punjab State Scheduled Castes Commission today issued a letter to the Secretary of the Punjab School Education Department directing to suspend Principal Rekha Mahajan of Senior Secondary School Muradpura District Amritsar.

Punjab State Scheduled Castes Commission Chairman S. Jasvir Singh Garhi said that Principal Rekha Mahajan had used casteist language for DPE teacher Jorinder Singh. He said that the complaint against Rekha Mahajan was also found to be correct by the two-member committee formed by the Education Department.

He said that the Secretary of the Education Department has been instructed to take immediate action in this matter and a report has been sought from the Director of Secondary Education Department regarding the case on January 29, 2026 during a personal appearance.---
