Haryana Chief Minister Sh. Nayab Singh Saini attended a community gathering organized by the Saini Samaj Trust in Amritsar as the Chief Guest. On this occasion, he launched the website prepared by the Trust. He said that through this website, information about the community’s activities and other important updates will be shared.

Appreciating the event, the Chief Minister said that he got the opportunity to meet members of the community. He stated that the responsibility he holds today has been entrusted to him by Prime Minister Sh. Narendra Modi. Expressing gratitude for this honour, he called upon everyone to work unitedly in the upcoming Assembly elections and to form a BJP government in Punjab in 2027. He said that under the leadership of the Prime Minister, India is moving forward at a rapid pace, which is a matter of pride for all.

In his address, the Chief Minister said that the 350th martyrdom anniversary of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji was commemorated in Haryana with deep reverence.

He further said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Sh. Narendra Modi, Haryana is progressing continuously. Free dialysis facilities are being provided to kidney patients in government and medical colleges across the state. Families with an annual income of up to ₹1.80 lakh are being provided LPG cylinders at ₹500. The government is fulfilling its promises in a phased manner. Ownership rights have been granted to individuals occupying Panchayati land for 20 years. Various schemes have been implemented to provide relief to traders, including an interest waiver scheme on taxes.

The Chief Minister said that several schemes for women are being implemented in Haryana, including the Lado Lakshmi Yojana, with funds being directly transferred to beneficiaries’ bank accounts. Under the fourth installment, approximately ₹634 crore has been transferred to beneficiaries.

Sh. Nayab Singh Saini said the state government has launched several schemes for farmers’ welfare. A scheme has been implemented to operate 5 HP and 10 HP tubewell motors on solar energy to reduce electricity bills. Under this scheme, 45 percent subsidy is provided by the Haryana Government and 45 percent by the Central Government, while farmers bear 10 percent of the cost. A solar scheme of up to 15 HP is also being implemented.

He said that the industrial sector in Haryana is being strengthened. There is a plan to establish 10 IMTs (Industrial Model Townships), out of which work is in progress on six. Better infrastructure is being provided to promote sports. Haryana’s athletes have brought glory to the state by winning the highest number of medals in the country.

CM NAYAB SINGH SAINI CALLS FOR SECURE AND PROGRESSIVE PUNJAB AT ‘PUNJAB BACHAO’ RALLY

Chief Minister Sh. Nayab Singh Saini, while addressing ‘Punjab Bachao Rally’ held in Amritsar, said that Punjab is not just a state but the soul of India. The Chief Minister said this is the sacred land from where the message of ‘Sarbat da Bhala’ spread across the world from Sri Harmandir Sahib. It is the same place where Jallianwala Bagh still bears testimony to the sacrifices of the freedom struggle. Punjab has given Mother India immortal sons such as Bhagat Singh, Udham Singh, and Sukhdev.

He said that raising the slogan of ‘Punjab Bachao’ on such a great land brings pain but strengthens resolve. The Chief Minister said it is time for introspection—whether Punjab’s youth are moving towards a secure and confident future, or being pushed into the darkness of drugs and despair. Whether farmers are breathing a sigh of relief or are burdened under debt and uncertain policies. Whether traders are conducting business fearlessly or living under the shadow of extortion and insecurity.

Targeting the Congress and Aam Aadmi Party governments, he said that decades of Congress rule weakened Punjab through corruption and lax administration. The drug problem reached every village, but action remained confined to paperwork. Promises of loan waivers for farmers and employment for youth were made, but expected results were not seen on the ground.

He said that even after the Aam Aadmi Party came to power, people’s expectations have not been fulfilled. Despite more than four years in office, drugs have not been completely eradicated, nor have large-scale employment opportunities been provided to youth. The Chief Minister demanded that the Punjab Government issue a white paper detailing how many youth were given permanent employment in recent years and what concrete action has been taken against drug trafficking.

The Chief Minister said that in Haryana, Minimum Support Price (MSP) is being provided on 24 crops. Under the Lado Lakshmi Yojana, ₹5,000 crore has been allocated in the budget to provide assistance of ₹2,100. In case of crop loss due to natural disasters, full compensation is being given to farmers. He stated that while ₹1,139 crore was given as compensation during the Congress tenure, the BJP’s double-engine government has provided ₹15,500 crore to farmers.

He further informed that under the Ayushman/Chirayu Yojana, free medical treatment up to ₹5 lakh per family is being provided in Haryana, benefiting lakhs of beneficiaries. An amount of ₹4,500 crore has been spent on treatment under this scheme.

In Haryana, ₹3,200 per month is being given as Old Age Samman Allowance pension. In contrast, the Aam Aadmi Party government in Punjab had promised to increase the pension from ₹1,500 to ₹2,500, which has not yet been fulfilled.

The Chief Minister appealed to the people of Punjab to give the BJP an opportunity in the 2027 Assembly elections for development, good governance, and security. He expressed confidence that Punjab will play a decisive role in Prime Minister Sh. Narendra Modi’s resolve to make India a developed nation by 2047. He also assured that once a BJP government is formed, effective control will be imposed on organized crime in Punjab.

On this occasion, BJP leader Shwait Malik, programme convener Sahib Singh Muchhal, Raghubir Singh Chhinda, former MLA Bishan Saini, and other dignitaries were present.

PUNJAB AAP LEADERS PROTESTS AGAINST  HARYANA CM SAINI

Leaders and MLAs of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Saturday staged a protest against Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini during his visit to Amritsar. Waving black flags and wearing black bands on their heads, AAP leaders opposed his arrival and stated that the BJP has consistently adopted an anti-Punjab stand.

Nayab Singh Saini had arrived in Amritsar to attend a rally at Dana Mandi and participate in a Saini community function. However, outside the rally venue, local AAP MLAs and leaders demonstrated against his convoy and expressed resentment over what they described as the BJP’s discriminatory attitude towards Punjab.

MLA Jeevan Jyot Kaur, MLA Inderbir Singh Nijjar, MLA Dr. Ajay Gupta, District President Amritsar Urban Prabhvir Singh Brar, Lok Sabha Incharge Jaskaran Badesha, District President Amritsar Rural Gurpartap Singh Sandhu, Dr. Inderpal, Gurdarshan Singh Goldy, Arwinder Singh Bhatti, Varun Rana, Satnam Singh Matharu, Mandeep Monga, Balbir Boparai, Visakha Singh, Raman Kumar, Bobby Bawa, Vimramjit Vicky, Baljit Singh Rinku, Sukhchain Singh Talwandi, Rajbir Singh, Lovepreet Singh, Lakhbir Singh, Daljit Singh, Gurpreet Kataria, Gaurav Agarwal, Satpal Sokhi, Kamna Anand, Sarbjit Ball and Ashok Kumar were joined by a large number of protestors outside the venue of his events.

AAP leaders said that the BJP-led central government has repeatedly withheld Punjab’s rightful funds related to rural development, health, education and other sectors, while simultaneously attempting to mislead the people of the state through political visits and rhetoric.

Addressing the media during the protest, Jeevan Jyot Kaur said, “We are protesting today because we want to ask, with what face is the BJP coming to Punjab? Why are they trying to mislead the people here? The public knows very well that BJP has blocked Punjab’s rightful funds, whether it is for health, education or development. Punjabis are well aware of the anti-farmer, anti-trade and anti-education face of the BJP.”

She further added, “Punjab’s people are not naive. They understand that BJP has always acted against Punjab’s interests. Today’s protest is a clear message that the people of Punjab will not be fooled by false propaganda.”

AAP leader Neel Garg also addressed the media and said, “You have every right to promote your party in Punjab, but do not forget that you are the Chief Minister of Haryana. Do not mislead people by raising baseless questions on Punjab’s law and order.”

Citing data, Neel Garg said, “Central agencies’ reports clearly show that in terms of maintaining law and order, Punjab ranks better than Haryana. Punjab stands second in the country in maintaining law and order, while in crime rankings it is much lower than Haryana. Haryana has witnessed over 1,000 murders in 2023 and more than 900 in 2024. Atrocities against women and Dalits are significantly higher there. Before lecturing Punjab, the Haryana government should introspect.”

He also countered BJP’s claims regarding farmers’ debt and said, “The debt burden on Punjab’s farmers increased significantly during the period when BJP was in power here. Moreover, there is no substantial difference between the debt levels of farmers in Haryana and Punjab. False statements cannot change facts.”

Concluding his remarks, Neel Garg said, “Instead of trying to gain political mileage in Punjab, the Haryana Chief Minister should first fulfil his responsibilities towards the people who elected him and improve the situation in Haryana.”
