In a sweeping verdict that dismantled what the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) declared as the biggest political conspiracy in independent India, a special Delhi court on Friday discharged Arvind Kejriwal, Manish Sisodia and other accused in the so-called liquor policy case, ruling that the matter was not even fit to proceed to trial.

Calling the judgment a complete vindication of honest politics, Arvind Kejriwal said the case was fabricated to eliminate the AAP after the BJP failed to defeat it on governance. Senior party leaders asserted that the verdict has exposed the misuse of central agencies, reaffirmed constitutional safeguards, and restored public faith in the judiciary.

Addressing a press conference after the special Delhi court discharged him along with senior AAP leader and Punjab Prabhari Manish Sisodia in liquor policy case, AAP National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal said, “For the past four years, the BJP has used the word ‘liquor scam’ extensively in Indian politics. But today, the court and our justice system have delivered a very historic judgment in this matter. I want to sincerely thank the judiciary and the learned judge for this decision.”

He affirmed, “In today’s atmosphere, when institutions and authorities are being intimidated and threatened, the judge has shown remarkable courage in delivering such a major judgment. I want to thank all the lawyers who stood by us at every step and fought this battle in court. I also want to thank the people across the country who stood with us during these four years when we were subjected to such oppression.”

Explaining the background of the case, Arvind Kejriwal noted, “For the last four years, the Enforcement Directorate and Central Bureau of Investigation and other institutions were used to level an allegation called the ‘liquor scam’ against us. Today the court had to decide whether there was sufficient material to even conduct a trial.”

Detailing the findings, he said, “In an order of nearly 600 pages, after examining all evidence and witnesses, the court has said there is not even a tiny piece of proof to conduct a trial. The court has said the case is so weak, so fake, so baseless and so wrong that there is not a single piece of evidence or a single witness to even begin a trial.”

Launching a direct attack, Arvind Kejriwal stated, “This conspiracy was created by two people, PM Narendra Modi and Amit Shah. Today both of them should apologise to the entire country. They conspired to eliminate the Aam Aadmi Party because they could not defeat us on the politics of work.”

Highlighting the attack on his integrity, he said, “The public knows that Arvind Kejriwal is honest, so they attacked my honesty. I have not earned a single new paisa. I have earned only honesty and they wanted to attack that honesty.”

Referring to the court’s conclusion, Arvind Kejriwal said, “After today’s court order, it has been proved before the country that Arvind Kejriwal is ‘kattar imaandar’, Manish Sisodia, Sanjay Singh, Durgesh Pathak and Aam Aadmi Party is ‘kattar imaandaar.’ We are not saying this. The court has said this before the entire country.”

Addressing PM Modi directly, he added, “Even after countless conspiracies you could not harm me. Now only one way is left to deal with Arvind Kejriwal, you will have to get Kejriwal killed.”

Speaking about Delhi, he said, “The 3 crore people of Delhi have suffered the most due to PM Modi and Amit Shah’s lust for power. I challenge PM Modi, hold fresh elections in Delhi. If BJP wins more than 10 seats, I will quit politics.”

Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann said, “It is a historic day in the politics of the country because the court has acquitted Arvind Kejriwal and 23 others who were wrongly booked by the CBI. The case was a desperate attempt to stop the Aam Aadmi Party which was spreading its wings through its agenda of good work. The dark night, however long it is, does end and the triumph of light is there. The verdict raises serious questions about the functioning of the CBI and exposes misuse of central agencies to muzzle the voice of democracy.”

Referring to the court’s conclusion, Arvind Kejriwal said, “After today’s court order, it has been proved before the country that Arvind Kejriwal is ‘kattar imaandar’, Manish Sisodia, Sanjay Singh, Durgesh Pathak and Aam Aadmi Party is ‘kattar imaandaar.’ We are not saying this. The court has said this before the entire country.”

Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh said, “A false case had been filed against Arvind Kejriwal, Manish Sisodia and other AAP leaders, and the court has now cleared them of all charges. PM Modi hatched a deep conspiracy to damage the image of the country’s most honest leadership because he could not tolerate improvements in schools and hospitals. If he has even a shred of shame, he should apologise to the entire country. Show even one rupee or one piece of evidence, but nothing was found. Investigative agencies were turned into puppets to defame us.”

Punjab President Aman Arora said, “The special court completely rejected the fabricated conspiracy designed to politically destroy Arvind Kejriwal. There was no prima facie case. This is not just the victory of a political party but the victory of truth and justice. PM Modi and Amit Shah must apologise to the nation for misusing central agencies.”

Punjab Finance Minister Harpal Singh Cheema said, “There was no evidence, only vendetta. The verdict reaffirms the supremacy of the Constitution drafted by Babasaheb Ambedkar. The attempt to criminalise honest politics has failed before the law.”

Punjab Education Minister Harjot Singh Bains said, “The ₹100 crore scam claim has fallen flat. Not a single penny was recovered despite years of investigation. This is the biggest victory of truth and honesty and a slap to dictatorial forces.”

Punjab Vidhan Sabha Speaker Kultar Singh Sandhwan said, “The discharge of all accused shows that the allegations failed judicial scrutiny. The verdict reaffirms constitutional morality and the rule of law.”

Punjab State Chief Spokesperson Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal said, “The web of lies has collapsed. Relentless propaganda has failed and the court’s decision stamps the integrity of Arvind Kejriwal and the Aam Aadmi Party.”

AAP Punjab Media In-charge Baltej Singh Pannu said, “There was no recovery, no cash, no document, no evidence whatsoever that could sustain a trial. This verdict is not just a victory for AAP but a historic victory of honest politics and justice, and it has rekindled the common person’s faith in the judiciary.”
