AKSHAY SHARMA EXPRESSES GRATITUDE TO CAPT AMARINDER FOR DECISION ON CANCELLATION OF UNIV & COLLEGE EXAMS

Punjab President Akshay Sharma on Saturday expressed his gratitude to the Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh for taking firm decision of cancelling the college and university exams in greater interest of health and safety concerns of students.

The Chief Minister during his interaction on facebook live session had announced the decision.

Happy to share with you all Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh has just announced cancellation of university and college examinations in the state in view of the Covid pandemic. Students to be promoted on the basis of their previous years’ results. However, students who want to improve their performance will have the option to taking a fresh examination later, once the Covid crisis is over, Akshay had earlier tweeted.

 
The decision would relieve lakhs of students and anxious parents who have been approaching NSUI Punjab expressing their concerns about holding physical examinations amidst increasing spread of pandemic, Akshay said here after the CM made the announcement.

National Students Union of India Punjab led by Akshay Sharma had been at forefront of leading students' voice on critical issue and had submitted memorandums to Union HRD Minister and state cabinet ministers. This is happy resolution of our hard work and we are thankful to the CM, Akshay added.
