Many activists, led by Surjit Singh Kang, state president of the SAD submitted a memorandum to the President of India through the District Collector in Sriganganagar.

Kang said that these laws were against the interests of farmers, traders and laborers. After its implementation the farmers will be ruined and suffer financially huge losses. The interests of farmers are being eroded. The bills were excluded from the jurisdiction of the courts. On one hand, the provision of contract farming has been made by the government in the same. To the contrary, farmers have been prevented from going to the court when a dispute arises. A provision has been made to set up a Settlement Board to resolve the dispute.

He said that no justice can be expected from these government officials. Even after the support price has been declared, agricultural commodities sell far below that. If the trader buys the crop below the MSP, then the provision of criminal offense against that merchant should have been in the ordinance. The government's hidden malfeasance manifests itself in the fact that the Courts have been kept away from these ordinances.

The memorandum said that in the amendments, due to increase in prices during a famine, the yield limit can also be imposed against the farmers. While the farmer is a producer, stock limits cannot be imposed on his produce.
“The economy of the country is linked to agriculture. If some bourgeois houses were protected by destroying the interests of the peasants, then the entire economic structure of the country would collapse. Therefore, these three laws should be repealed. We will never accept the anti-farmer bills, farmers said. –
