ON STUDENTS DAY, KARAN GILHOTRA LAUNCHES FANTASTIC FAZILKA SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM

SONU SOOD APPRECIATES HIS FRIEND KARAN'S SERVICES, SWAMI VIVEKANANDA GROUP OF INSTITUTE BANUR TO BE PARTNER IN THE PROJECT

Fazilka’s young entrepreneur Karan Gilhotra, who had played a vital role to help the needy and salute the Corona Warriors in the lockdown, is now adding another sparkle.

Karan launched the “Fantastic Fazilka Scholarship”program on the occasion of Students Day today, rekindling hopes to promising students of his home town who can’t get higher education due to financial constraints. Gilhotra, who is serving the country not only in Punjab but also with his best friend actor Sonu Sood, has now announced a special project for his hometown Fazilka.

Film actor, philanthropist Sonu Sood has appreciated Karan’s all humanitarian gestures. 

Swami Vivekananda Group of Institutes Banur (Chandigarh) chairman Ashwani Kumar said that he is happy to be a part of dreams that Karan follows to highly educate the meritorious students of his hometown who are getting involved in the service work being done by him. “We are becoming a partner in Gilhotra's meaningful thinking. Karan has initially called for free education of 50 students, but even if more is needed, we will support him in every step. He added. 

 

Due to his continuous efforts, 50 promising and needy students of Fazilka will be educated in Swami Vivekananda Group of Institute of Banur, a renowned education institute of the state and no student will have to bear the expenses of tuition fees, hostel fees.

This was revealed to the meritorious studentswhen Karan Gilhotra made a tweet to facilitate 50 students with a four-year higher education course for free. This has blossomed faces of the students who could not afford going to Chandigarh for higher education. Explaining about his ambitious project, Karan said that while doing various service works, he thought of doing something special for the meritorious students of his hometown. In this project, initially 50 students will be selected through online applications for pursuing higher education courses after Senior Secondary and BA degree. The selected students will be provided various higher education courses at the Swami Vivekananda Group of Institutes in Banur.

He said that aspiring students can right now send online applications. Corona has also affected the order of education, but due to the high cost of education, financially weak but promising students who are unable to pursue their education will be selected on the basis of merit. In the selection process, a team of local youth and intellectuals working under his leadership will play an important role and will take further steps to realize the dream of a new highly educated Fazilka. 

He expressed gratitude to Ashwini ji and the whole family of the college, hoping that they will continue to make similar cooperation in future.
