A park located in Nai Abadi, which had become a shelter for the animals due to being turned into ruins, has been renovated in just 5 weeks by collective efforts.

Few weeks back, the convener of “Apna Abohar, Apni Abha” campaign, Sandeep Jakhar, was told about the plight of this park. He accepted the request to renovate the park in consultation with Municipal Corporation Mayor, Vimal Thatai and Improvement Trust Chairman Anil Nagpal.

After many years, the Lohri festival was celebrated collectively in this park in a disciplined way.

After the completion of the construction work, the volunteers gathered in the cloudy morning to give more beauty to the park. The walls of the park were decorated with paintings under the leadership of Councillor Renu Bala Bedi. Simultaneously, volunteers cleaned the entire park and planted saplings of ornamental plants.
