The Rath Yatra started at 3.00 P.M. from ISKCON Sector 36-B when Sh. Banwarilal Purohit, Governor of Punjab and Administrator of U.T. Chandigarh flagged the Rath Yatra after worshipping Lord Jagannath. Sh. Purohit swept the path before the Rath with golden brooms and then pulled the chariot carrying the deities of Lord Jagannath, Lord Baladeva and Devi Subhadra.
British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, accompanied by his wife Akshata Murty, visited BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir, London – popularly known as ‘Neasden Temple’.
