The Durga Puja celebrations in Sector-20 Panchkula begins as Governor of Haryana, Prof. Ashim Kumar Ghosh graced the occasion as the Chief Guest on Sunday,
The celebration is being organized by Tricity Durga Bari, a young organization engaged in promoting socio-cultural initiatives and charitable activities in Panchkula. This year marks the 18th consecutive Durga Puja, to be held at the Community Center, Sector 20, Panchkula, from September 28 to October 1, 2025.
The Puja draws participation from across the Tricity, covering an immediate residential population of 4000–6000 families from Sectors 4, 12, 12A, 20, 21, 25, 26, 27 of Panchkula, as well as residents from Peer Muchalla, Zirakpur, and Dera Bassi. With a daily footfall of approximately 2,000–3,000 visitors, the four-day festival promises to be a vibrant and inclusive celebration. The highlights of the event include vibrant food stalls, arts and crafts displays, and property and car exhibitions.
A community Bhandara will be organized for three consecutive days at noon, with cultural programs held every evening. The festivities will run daily from 9:30 AM to 10:30 PM, offering something special for every visitor throughout the celebration. The inauguration ceremony will begin at 10:20 AM on 28th September, and guests are requested to be seated by 10:00 AM sharp.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr.Palash Das, Hon'ble General Secretary of Tricity Durga Bari Organizing Committee said, “We are deeply honored to welcome the Hon’ble Governor of Haryana to inaugurate our Durga Puja.
