In a landmark spiritual moment, a 108-foot-tall murti of Neelkanth Varni has been consecrated at Swaminarayan Akshardham, New Delhi. Representing the youthful ascetic form of Bhagwan Swaminarayan, the murti depicts Neelkanth Varni in deep meditation, standing on one leg—symbolizing devotion, renunciation, and his extraordinary seven-year spiritual journey across India at the age of 11.
The Murti Pratishtha Mahotsav was conducted with devotion and grandeur under the guidance and presence of Mahant Swami Ji Maharaj. The Vedic rituals and ceremonies witnessed participation from thousands of devotees across the world.
The 108-foot murti stands as a powerful symbol of faith, discipline, and spiritual pursuit. Mahant Swami Ji Maharaj said after the consecration, “This is the most beautiful murti. It will spread peace throughout the world. Whoever comes here for the darshan of Nilkanth Varni will imbibe universal virtues and attain liberation. This murti will also fulfil the heartfelt wishes of devotees.”
