The Chanan Mal Ahuja Trust, headed by Vipan Nagpal, organised a grand garlanding ceremony at Arut Ji Maharaj Memorial to celebrate the birth anniversary of the pioneer of Arora community.
MLA Sandeep Jakhar, after garlanding the statue, said that Arut Maharaj's fort is known as Arur Kot on the bank of river Indus. Arur dynasty Kshatriyas were called Arora because they were followers of Arut Maharaj. He said that all people in the Arorvansh community live with love among themselves.
It is said that there are 811 castes and 361 sub-castes in Arora dynasty, who are living in different provinces of the country and abroad and are providing development to their respective states. He appealed to the people of the community to follow the principles laid down by Arut Maharaj and shun all kinds of evils. Former MLA Arun Narang, Mayor Vimal Thatai were among other citizens who offered garlands at the statue. Prasad was distributed on the occasion.
