CBI APPREHENDS DELHI POLICE ASI WHILE ACCEPTING BRIBE OF RS 35,000

Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has apprehended accused Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) of Delhi Police, PS Dwarka North, Delhi while demanding and accepting bribe amount of Rs. 35,000/- from the complainant. 

A case was registered by CBI on 08.07.2025 against the accused ASI and a Head-Constable. It was alleged that the accused ASI and a Head-Constable demanded bribe of Rs 50,000/-upfront from the complainant for allowing him and his friend to run a vegetable shop in the market and Rs 5000/- to Rs.10,000/- per month thereafter. After negotiation, both the accused agreed to accept bribe amount of Rs. 35,000/- upfront and Rs. 2000/- per person on monthly basis from the complainant. 

CBI laid a trap and caught the accused ASI red-handed. The aforesaid accused ASI has been apprehended. Investigation is continuing.
