Under the leadership of Chief Minister Sh. Nayab Singh Saini, the Haryana Government has once again taken a decisive step forward on the path of development, thanks to its effective policies.

The government's strict, transparent, and swift decision-making approach has once again proven its impact. The Haryana Excise and Taxation Department issued licences for 2,388 retail liquor shops and recorded a revenue growth of 13.25% this year, clearly indicating that the policy has been successful and in public and state interest.

Excise and Taxation Commissioner Sh. Vinay Pratap Singh informed that the auction of all 1194 excise zones in the state has been successfully completed. Each zone has been permitted two shops, making a total of 2,388 licenses.

Record Revenue Amidst Opposition’s Questions

While the opposition continues its political attack over the excise policy, the government has responded with facts by earning a record revenue of ₹14,342 crore through the auction process. Last fiscal year, the figure was ₹7,025 crore, which means the revenue has doubled in just one year.

A notable point is that this year's auction was completed much earlier and more transparently compared to previous years. While last year’s auction concluded in August, this year the entire process was completed in July itself, a clear indication of improved efficiency and administrative capability.

Gurugram Emerges as Top Revenue Generator

Gurugram topped the state by generating ₹3,875 crore, contributing 27% of the total revenue. It was followed by Faridabad (₹1,696 crore), Sonipat (₹1,066 crore), Rewari (₹654 crore), and Hisar (₹615 crore), which also recorded significant earnings.

Strong Performance by Rural Districts Too

Not just urban but rural districts also showed impressive growth. Districts like Bhiwani (23.5%), Fatehabad (21%), Hisar (21%), Kurukshetra (20.5%), and Panipat (18%) witnessed a significant jump compared to previous years. This proves that the government’s policy has been effective even at the grassroots level.

Impact of Crime Control and Good Governance

Commissioner Sh. Vinay Pratap Singh stated that on the directions of the Chief Minister, law enforcement agencies took strict actions against criminal elements in time. This ensured a smooth auction process and increased investor confidence. For example, Yamunanagar district, which previously saw low participation, recorded revenue of ₹439.88 crore this time, up from ₹237.81 crore last year.

This success of the government is a strong reply to the opposition, which repeatedly questioned the government’s image and policies. The results now speak for themselves – the Nayab Singh Saini government of Haryana believes not just in making announcements, but in delivering results on the ground.
