The death anniversary of young revolutionary martyr Khudiram Bose, who was at the forefront of the movement to free India from British rule, was commemorated. Bose was remembered after the retreat ceremony at the Sadiqi JCP on the Indo-Pak border.
On this occasion, BSF's second command officer Vishesh Kumar, Company Commandant JK Singh, along with him KK Shukla, Border Area Vikas Front chief Liladhar Sharma, Shaheedon ki Samadh Committee official Praful Chander Nagpal, Dr Ankit Sharma (Chandigarh), Harish Sharma, Sushil Sharma, Parth Nagpal were especially present.
Liladhar Sharma, while addressing the audience, said that martyr Khudiram Bose fought the British showing patriotic spirit at a young age. The British hanged him at the age of about 19. At the time of hanging, he read Gita and kept it with him. All those present joined hands in planting saplings around the border road.
