DELHI POLICE ARRESTED SIX DESPERATE CRIMINALS AMONG ARMS SUPPLIER AND KINGPIN OF BADDA GANG FROM MEERUT

In a significant blow to the illegal arms syndicate and wanted criminals, dedicated teams of the Eastern Range of Special Cell, Delhi Police, led by Inspectors Sunil Kumar, Rahul Kumar and Vineet Kumar Tewatia, under the close supervision of ACP Sh. Kailash Singh Bisht, successfully executed two simultaneous operations against desperate criminals and illegal arms suppliers. The operations resulted in the arrest of six arms traffickers and recovery of a huge quantity of illegal arms.

The arrested accused identified as Mohd. Saim @ Bhola, R/o Sarai Bahlim, Meerut (Age 21 years),  Mohd. Kamil, R/o Sarai Bahlim, Meerut (Age 25 years),  Nadeem, R/o Village Hasanpur, Hapur, U.P. (Age 25 years).  Rashid, R/o Ekta Colony, Shaheed Nagar, Ghaziabad, U.P. (Age 27 years),  Kadir @ Badda, R/o Village KayasthBadda, Meerut, U.P. (Age 26 years).  Faraz, R/o Village Pasonda, Ghaziabad, U.P. (Age 27 years)

RECOVERY:  13 semi-automatic pistols,  02 single-shot pistols,  6 extra Magazine.  87 live cartridges,  Two motorcycles, Mobile phones containing incriminating data regarding arms supply

OPERATION – 1: On 05.09.2025, acting on specific input, a raid was conducted near Shyam Lal College, Shahdara. During the operation, Mohd. Saim was apprehended, and four semi-automatic pistols were recovered from his possession. A case under the relevant sections of law was registered. On the basis of his disclosure, his associate Mohd. Kamil Hussain was also arrested, and one semi-automatic pistol, two country-made single-shot pistols, and five extra magazines were recovered from him.

Interrogation and Profile of Arrested Persons:

 Mohd. Saim @ Bhola Saim, aged 21 years, is a resident of Sarai Bahlim, Meerut, Uttar Pradesh. His father deals in the sale and purchase of old cars in Meerut, while his mother is a homemaker. Saim left school in 2019 while studying in Class 9 and thereafter began working with his uncle in a submersible parts manufacturing unit in Meerut. During the Covid period, he came in contact with local criminals and started indulging in the purchase and sale of illegal firearms. Initially, he procured weapons from a supplier named Maaz of Meerut, but after a dispute with him, he began sourcing firearms through his associate Kamil. In 2024, he was arrested at PS Lisari Gate, Meerut, while in possession of an illegal arm. After his release, he resumed criminal activity and continued to supply arms in Meerut and Delhi-NCR.

Mohd. KamilHussain : Kamil, aged 25 years, is a resident of Mohalla Sarai Behleem, Mehmud-ul-Haq Road, Meerut, U.P. He belongs to a large family consisting of his father, mother, four elder brothers, two married sisters, three sisters-in-law, and their children. His father earlier sold inverter batteries but is now at home due to ill health, while his mother manages household work. His brothers run an embroidery business for women’s suits from their residence, in which Kamil also assisted after leaving school in Class 8 due to lack of interest. He came into contact with Saim @ Bhola, who was already dealing in firearms. Kamil then began sourcing pistols from Maaz of Ismail Nagar, Meerut, and supplying them to Saim, earning a commission of ₹2,000–3,000 per pistol. In this way, he became directly involved in the arms trafficking network. Previous InvolvementS in two cases of Delhi and Meerut. 

OPERATION – 2:

On 06.09.2025, acting on specific information, another team of Special Cell (ER) arrested four accused persons: Nadeem, Rashid, Kadir @ Badda, and Faraz. They were engaged in supplying illicit arms in Delhi-NCR. Eight sophisticated pistols with 87 live cartridges were recovered from their possession.

During follow-up action, two suspects riding a motorcycle were apprehended near the Paper Market, Ghazipur. From Rashid, one pistol and five live cartridges were recovered, while from Nadeem, one pistol, five live cartridges and a bag containing three pistols with 60 cartridges were seized. On Nadeem’s instance, a raid was conducted at a flat in Ramesh Park, Laxmi Nagar, where one pistol with two live cartridges was recovered from Kadir. Kadir, the head of the Badda Gang, is carrying a reward of ₹25,000 on his arrest in Case FIR No. 25/2025 at PS Kithor, Meerut.

Further, Rashid revealed that he had supplied arms to Faraz of Pasonda, Ghaziabad. A raid was conducted, and Faraz was apprehended with two pistols and 15 rounds. involved in 17 cases of different police stations of UP. 

Interrogation and Profile of Arrested Persons:

Nadeem, aged 25 years, is a resident of Village Hasanpur, Hapur, U.P. He has studied up to Class 10 before dropping out and worked as a carpenter. His criminal involvement began in 2020, when he was first arrested in a theft case. Over time, he became associated with the Badda Gang and participated in several serious crimes, including robbery, attempt to murder and illegal possession of arms. He also played an active role in the supply of firearms in Delhi-NCR. Previous involvements  in 17 cases

Appropriate legal proceedings have been initiated against all the arrested accused persons, and efforts are ongoing to trace their remaining associates and to dismantle the wider arms trafficking network, said Amit Kaushik, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Special Cell (Eastern Range), Delhi

Rashid, aged 27 years, belongs to Ekta Colony, Shaheed Nagar, Sahibabad, Ghaziabad, U.P. He has studied up to Class 10 and thereafter worked in weekly markets. Gradually, he came into contact with criminal elements and became involved in the supply of firearms.

Kadir, aged 26 years, is a resident of Village Kayasth Badda, Meerut, U.P. He has studied up to Class 12 but dropped out after falling into bad company during college days. His first criminal case was registered in 2015 and since then, he has been involved in multiple serious offences, including murder, attempt to murder, firing incidents, and illegal possession of arms. Over time, he established his own syndicate known as the Badda Gang. He is wanted in a case of year 2025 of PS Kithor, Meerut, and a cash reward of ₹25,000 has been announced on his arrest by U.P. Police in this case.
Previous Involvements: Previously involved in 15 cases.

Faraz, aged 27 years, is a resident of Village Pasonda, Ghaziabad, U.P. He left school after Class 8 and began working in a canteen. He was first arrested in 2020 and, during imprisonment, came into contact with members of the Badda Gang, eventually joining them. Since then, he has been involved in several cases, including robbery, NDPS offences, attempt to murder, and illegal possession of arms.
