The Special Judge, CBI Court, Ghaziabad  on Thursday has convicted and sentenced Manisha Devi, Ghaziabad , Private Person to undergo imprisonment of 03 Years, 05 Months & 15 Days with a fine of Rs. 50,000/- in a bank loan fraud case.

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) registered the instant case on 13.09.2017. The accused Manisha Devi was charged with Criminal Conspiracy with the Co- accused for applying for a loan without complete documents and getting a loan of Rs. 99 lakh sanctioned in her name and her husband Co-accused Kapil Kumar for purchasing a plot on the basis of forged documents, withdrawing Rs. 96 lakh from the account and misusing the loan amount against the terms of the loan. Thereby, in connivance with the co-accused, defrauding Canara Bank(erstwhile Syndicate Bank), Ghaziabad Manisha Devi caused wrongful loss to the tune of Rs. 1,17,66,950/- to the bank.

Charge sheet was filed on 23.12.2021 against Manisha Devi and other Public and Private Persons

Manisha Devi filed application for Plead Guilty on 09.09.2025 in the Hon’ble Court of Spl. Judge, CBI Anti-Corruption, Court No. 1 Ghaziabad accepting her guilt before the Ld. Court.

The CBI Court, accepted the application for Plead Guilty and convicted and sentenced Manisha Devi.
