In a significant show of support for the revival of India's ancient heritage, Mr. Sandeep Passey, Managing Director of Intersoft DataLabs and Solutions Pvt. Ltd., presented a cheque of ₹36 lakh (Approximately $3.6 million) to the Haryana Saraswati Heritage Development Board. The cheque was handed over to Hon'ble Chief Minister of Haryana, Mr. Nayab Saini, and Deputy Chairman of the Board, Mr. Dhuman Singh Kirmach, during a ceremony held at C-Essar.
CM Nayab Saini expressed heartfelt gratitude and remarked, “It is a matter of great pride that corporate companies are now coming forward to support the promotion of our culture. Their contribution plays a vital role in preserving and reviving our rich heritage.”
The generous contribution was made as part of the company’s CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) initiative. Speaking at the event, Mr. Sandeep Passey stated, “The Saraswati Board is doing excellent work in reviving our cultural heritage. We are proud to be associated with this noble cause that highlights the historical and spiritual significance of the Saraswati River.” Mr. Utpal Misra, CFO of Intersoft DataLabs, was also present on the occasion.
Deputy Chairman Mr. Dhuman Singh Kirmach highlighted the ongoing progress of the project, sharing that the Saraswati River has been successfully diverted for over 400 kilometers, bringing immense relief and benefits to the farmers in the region. “For the last three years, the flowing water in the Saraswati River has proved to be a boon. It is the most significant living evidence of our ancient heritage—if anything remains from the Mahabharata era, it is the Saraswati River,” he noted.
The Saraswati River, which originates from Adibadri, flows through Yamunanagar, Kurukshetra, Kaithal, a part of Punjab, and districts including Jind, Fatehabad, Sirsa, and up to O2 Head. During the recent monsoon season, while floods affected many areas, effective water management by the Saraswati River Board helped in channeling the floodwaters efficiently, protecting farmers and villages along its course. This has further enhanced public trust and appreciation for the Board’s work.
Under the leadership of Chief Minister Nayab Saini, the Haryana Saraswati Heritage Development Board continues to make remarkable strides in reviving the ancient Vedic Saraswati River, envisioned to develop into a cultural corridor and tourism hub along its historic path.
Also present at the event were Mr. Praveen Attriya and Mr. Pawan Chaudhary from the Chief Minister's Office, Haryana, who lauded the collective spirit of public service and cultural pride.
