ACCUSED OF GAMBLING ACT., RECOVERED Rs.41,790/- AND 104 PLAYING CARDS.

In a significant development, under the direction of Senior Officers, Chandigarh Police officials successfully arrested eight accused of Gambling act.

In this regard, Case FIR No. 82 Dated 10.10.2025 U/S 13.3.67 Gambling Act PS MM Chandigarh has been registered, on 10.10.2025, HC Jagminder Singh 595/CP PS MM along with other police officials while performing the patrolling duty in the area of PS-Manimajra and when he reached Near Baba Garments Main Market, MM CHD on the secret information they nabbed 8 persons namely  Kamal S/o Ganpat Rai R/o H. No 1216 Murti waligali, Morigate,Manimajra Age 44 yrs/M 2) Sahjad S/o Vakil R/o H. No 1248 Murti waligali, Morigate,Manimajra Age 44 yrs/M 3) Ghanshyam S/o Rajbahadur R/o# 1435 Rajiv Colony Panchkula Sector-17 Age 50 yrs/M 4) Rajat S/o Bittu R/o H. No 1087 Govindpura MM Age 30 yrs/M 5) Manoj kumar S/O Babu Ram R/O H.No 1176 Mori Gate Mani Majra age 44 yrs/M 6) Naheem S/O Saleem R/O Near govt school village- Devi nagar Sector-03 Panchkula HR Age 29 yrs/M 7) Sahjad Ali @ Tahid S/O Shokat Ali R/O # 465 Near Dispencery Charan singh colony Maulijagran Chandigarh Age 43 yrs/M 8) Mohammad Akram S/O Afsar Hussain R/O Near govt school village Devi nagar Sector –03 Panchkula HR Age 30 Yrs/M, while they were playing gambling at public place and recovered total Rs. 41790/- and 104 playing cards from their possession.

During the Course of investigation accused have been arrested and bailedout on same day.The recovered property taken into Police Possession. The Case is under investigation. One accused  Rajat  involved in murder case of Manimajra in the year 2016.
