DELHI CAR BLAST NEAR RED FORT , 11 DIES , UP HARYANA MUMBAI AND DELHI ON HIGH ALERT

A massive explosion occurred in a car near the Red Fort in Delhi. 11 people died and 24 were injured in the blast. The cause of the blast was not clear, but a high alert has been issued in Delhi, Mumbai, Haryana, and Uttar Pradesh.

Delhi Police Commissioner Satish Golcha said that a moving car exploded near Gate No. 1 of the Fort Metro Station at 6.52 pm on Monday. The fire spread so rapidly that three other vehicles parked nearby were burnt.

After the incident, the police cordoned off the area. The forensic team has arrived. CCTV footage from the surrounding area is being examined. The NIA and NSG have also been dispatched to the scene. PM Modi spoke to Home Minister Amit Shah and took information.

All investigation agencies reached on spot and the dead bodies have been sent for postmortem and indentifications of deceased.

Officials said that the cause of the explosion is under investigation. Police have sealed off the entire area, and a forensic team is on the spot. CCTV footage from nearby areas is being examined.
