CBI COURT JODHPUR SENTENCES THREE MES OFFICIALS TO FOUR YEARS IMPRISONMENT WITH A FINE OF RS. ONE LAKH EACH FOR TAKING BRIBE

The CBI Court, Jodhpur, has sentenced Hari Singh Nagley, Accounts Officer, Radhey Shyam Soni, AGE (Contract), and Anil Betagiri, AGE (B/R-II), all of O/o GE, MES, Military Station, Sriganganagar, Rajasthan to Four Years Imprisonment with a fine of Rs. One Lakh each in three different bribery cases, registered by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on 11.04.2016.

The accused Hari Singh Nagley, Accounts Officer, O/o GE, MES, Military Station, Sriganganagar was caught red-handed on 11.04.2016 while demanding and accepting bribe of Rs.12,000/- for disbursing payment of works executed by the firm of the complainant against the contract awarded by MES.

The accused Radhey Shyam Soni, AGE (Contract), O/o GE, MES, Military Station, Sriganganagar was caught red-handed on 11.04.2016 while demanding and accepting bribe of Rs. 18000/- from the complainant for awarding contract by MES. 

The accused Anil Betagiri, AGE (B/R-II), O/o GE, MES, Military Station, Sriganganagar was caught red-handed on 11.04.2016 while demanding and accepting bribe of Rs. 30,000/- against total bill amounts of the work submitted by the firm of the complainant.

After investigation, Charge sheets were filed against the accused persons in the month of September & October, 2016. The Hon’ble Court, after the trial, convicted and sentenced the accused persons on Tuesday.
