RD Burman Fans Club Sriganganagar organized an emotional tribute program on the demise of renowned Bollywood actor Dharmendra at Sukhadia Circle, where a large number of people gathered and expressed their condolences remembering the late actor.
Founder convener of the organization Shailendra Singh Shaili, Patron DSP Ved Prakash Lakhotia, President Advocate Vinod Goyal, Secretary Dr. Kusum Jain, Treasurer Lalit Doda, former President Shyam Goswami, Rhythm Guru Sunil Maurya, Saxophonist Mintu, Amar Singh Ahuja, Pawan Jindal, Manish Jain, Dr. Ashwini Nagpal, Vinod Sethi and others offered flowers on Dharmendra's portrait. Tributes were also paid to him by lighting candles. The large number of people present at the event showed how deep Dharmendra's popularity was.
Renowned artist Mintu presented tunes of popular songs from Dharmendra's films on saxophone. Meanwhile, a group of Punjabi Bhangra artists, who were going to attend a wedding ceremony, stopped to watch the program and performed a vigorous dance on the song "Main Jatt Yamla Pagla Diwana" from Dharmendra's film 'Pratigya'.
A brass band group passing by also participated in the program and played the tunes of Dharmendra's songs to pay tribute to him. The spontaneous participation of various artists in the program made it livelier.
