Gopichand Arya Mahila College bid a warm and emotional farewell to Dr. Shakuntla Midha, Head of the Department of Punjabi, on her retirement after an extraordinary 33 years of dedicated and distinguished service.

A Havan Yajna was performed seeking blessings for her future life. Her sons, Abhishek Midha and Ramneek Midha, were also present.

Dr. Shakuntla Midha has been a strong pillar of the institution, contributing not only as a teacher but also as a vibrant cultural leader. She served as Dean, Youth Welfare Department, where she played a pivotal role in nurturing talent, promoting Punjabi culture, and instilling confidence and leadership among students.

The college-Principal, Dr. Rekha Sood Handa, expressed deep appreciation for Dr. Midha’s invaluable contribution. She stated that Dr. Midha’s long service stands as a model of dedication, and the institution is blessed to have benefitted from her wisdom and leadership. She extended heartfelt wishes for a healthy, peaceful, and fulfilling life ahead.
