VICTORY PARADE, DEDICATED TO VIJAY DIWAS, ORGANISED AT FAZILKA

A Victory Parade was organized in Fazilka to commemorate the country's victory in the 1971 Indo-Pak war. The Parade, dedicated to the Victory Day by the Shaheedon-ki-Samadh Memorial Committee Asafwala, started from Shaheed Bhagat Singh Market near the District Administrative Complex, passed through Sanjeev Cinema Chowk, Gaushala Road, Cycle Bazaar, Shastri Chowk and ended at Ghanta Ghar.

Deputy Commissioner Amarpreet Kaur Sandhu said that we bow our heads and pay homage to the families of the martyrs. She said that the martyrs who lost their lives during the 1971 Indo-Pak war can never be forgotten. She said that participating in the Victory Parade on the occasion of Vijay Diwas gives a unique feeling.

SSP Gurmeet Singh said that the martyred soldiers who made sacrifices to maintain the honor and glory of the country will be remembered for the rest of the world.

The family members of the soldiers who were martyred during the 1971 Indo-Pak war, who were specially included in the Victory Parade, were honored by the city residents at various places by showering flowers.

On this occasion, Shivdular Singh Dhillon (Retd. IAS) Secretary Punjab State Red Cross Society, ADC (G) Dr. Mandeep Kaur, SDMs Kanwarjit Singh Mann, Krishna Pal Rajput and Amandeep Singh Mavi, Memorial Committee chief Sandeep Gilhotra, Praful Chander Nagpal and others were especially present.
