25 PB Battalion NCC Abohar successfully concluded its Annual Training Camp-71(ATC-71) at NCC Academy Malout, marking the culmination of a 10-day intensive training programme. A total of 318 cadets from various NCC-affiliated institutions in Abohar and Fazilka districts participated in the camp.
The closing ceremony was graced by Col Rajeev Sirohi, Camp Commandant, who highlighted the successful execution of diverse training modules including physical training, drill, practical weapon training, firing practice on .22 simulators and live firing with .22 rifles on ranges, map reading, compass usage, field craft and battle craft drills, judging distance, personality development, leadership traits, SSCD activities, and health & hygiene awareness.
Enriching guest lectures were delivered on Disaster Management by NDRF, Fire Safety by Fire Brigade personnel, Traffic Rules & Regulation by Traffic Police, First Aid & Health by a medical doctor, Cyber First Responders – an online interactive session by USI of India.
Cadets showcased their talents through vibrant cultural performances. Outstanding performers in painting, sports, cultural events, and written tests were felicitated with medals during the ceremony.
Col Sirohi commended the dedication of Lt Col Gaurav Nyol, Deputy Camp Commandant, Sub Manjeet Singh, Senior JCO, NCC Officers (ANOs), and Permanent Instructor (PI) staff, for delivering realistic and impactful training. He noted that the cadets return enriched with military discipline, life skills, and the camp completion certificate—essential for appearing in ‘A’, ‘B’, and ‘C’ Certificate examinations.
