The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has arrested Sub-Divisional Inspector (SDI), Sub-Division Post Office, Konch, Jalaun, UP and Branch Post Master, Chandurra Post Office, Jalaun, UP, in a bribery case. 

CBI registered the instant case on 15.12.2025 against the said accused on the basis of a complaint. It was alleged that the said accused demanded undue advantage of Rs.15,000 from the complainant for relieving him in pursuance of his transfer order, passing his salary for the month of October and for re-verification of his caste certificate. It was also alleged that the accused SDI had already obtained Rs.5,000 bribe amount from the complainant by threatening and compelling him. After negotiations, the accused agreed to accept Rs.12,500 and the accused SDI obtained further bribe amount of Rs.2,500 from the complainant.

CBI laid a trap on 16.12.2025 and caught the accused Sub-Divisional Inspector and Branch Post Master while demanding and accepting remaining undue advantage of Rs.5,000 from the complainant. Both accused persons have been put under arrest on 16.12.2025. The trap proceedings are underway.
