Tightening the noose around drug peddlers under the state government’s ongoing campaign “War Against Drugs,” the police today demolished the house of a drug smuggler at Nihala Kilcha village in this border district. 

While divulging details, SP Manjeet Singh said that they had received a complaint that the accused Balwinder Singh and Sukha Singh, had allegedly encroached 10 marla land belonging to provincial government and had constructed illegal house on it. 

“Both Balwinder and Sukha had been booked in several cases under NDPS Act and at present both are in Ferozepur central jail. Even their mother Charanjeet Kaur had also been involved in this illegal trade of drugs and at present in jail”, said SP (D). 

The operation took place today afternoon in the presence of hundreds of police officials. On this occasion, SP (D) Manjit Singh, and other senior officials were present.
