The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has arrested two public servants- Sub-Registrar, Revenue Department, Kashmere Gate, Delhi and Reader, Sub-Registrar office, Kashmere Gate, Delhi and Two private persons while accepting a bribe of Rs. 10,000 from the complainant. 

CBI registered the instant case on 07.01.2026 against the accused persons and Unknown others. It was alleged that the accused public servants in connivance with private persons had demanded bribe of Rs. 10,000 in lieu of providing sale deed/registry to the complainant. The accused also threatened that if the demanded amount is not paid, then the clients’ documents/sale deed would be objected by embossing with red seal and would be sent to MCD.

CBI laid a trap on 07.01.2026 and caught one accused Private Person red-handed while demanding and accepting the bribe amount of Rs. 10,000 from the complainant in criminal conspiracy with other co-accused persons i.e., Sub-Registrar, Reader and another Private Person. The aforesaid accused persons have been arrested.

Further investigation is under way.
