Police reported to have nabbed two accused steeling multiple  theft cases.  Police said, an e-FIR No. 977 has been registered on 21.08.2025 on the complaint of Ms. Sonia Kumari D/o Santosh Kumar R/o Plot No. E6,Altus New Chandigarh,in which she reported that on 21.08.2025 she parked her Honda Activa No. CH-01-AZ-9665 at Dhanas vegetable market and when she came back after sometime she found that her said Activa was not there,which has been stolen by unknown person.

Case EFIR No. 1556 date 04.12.2025 u/s 303(2) added 317(2) BNS, Police Station Sarangpur, UT Chandigarh.:  Moreover an eFIR No. 1556 was registered on 04.12.2025 on the complaint of Mr. Rajnish Kumar S/o Parbhu Dayal R/o House No. 24 Milk Colony Dhanas,Chandigarh,in which he reported that on 02.12.2025 he parked his Moter cycle No. CH-01-BG-9084 in front of his above mentioned house but next day he saw that his said Moter cycle was not there, which has been stolen by unknown person.

During the course of investigation accused Mohan @ Mona S/o Ramsewak R/o Small Falts, Dhanas Chandigarh age 19 year and Karan @ Bhima S/o Ramesh Kumar R/o Small Flats, Dhanas Chandigarh age 19 years has been arrested and below mentioned recoveries has been made on their instances.

KNOW THE ACCUSED: Mohan @ Mona S/o Ramsewak  R/o Small Falts, Dhanas Chandigarh, 8th passed doing paint work. The other accused  Karan @ Bhima S/o Ramesh Kumar R/o Small Flats, Dhanas Chandigarh age 19 years, 7th passed.

PREVIOUS RECORD : Previous history of accused Mohan @ Monna- Case FIR No. 54 date 02.08.2022 u/s 379 IPC added 411 IPC PS Sarangpur,Chandigarh regarding stolen of Activa No. CH-1-BD-6840. In this case accused Mohan @ Monna has been convicted on 11.02.2023.

MODUS OPERENDI; During investigation, it has been established that both the accused persons are addicted of consuming drugs and to fulfill their addiction, they initially carried out the identification drive of targeted vehicles specially in the night hours and stolen the different types of vehicle from the different locations across the Chandigarh, and hide them to the abandoned places to sold them in near future. The investigation of the case is going on.
