Police achieved a major success by recovering 5 cars stolen from tri-city area and arrested three accused . Police said, E-FIR was registered at PS 36 Chandigarh on the complaint of Kuldeep Singh Brar S/o Ajmer Singh Brar R/o H No. 1452, Sector 42/B Chandigarh, who stated that his white colour Car make Hyundai Creta bearing registration no. PB04-AD-9878, which was parked and locked in front of his house. It was stolen early morning at 03:25 AM, for which they have CCTV recording camera installed in the area.
Thereafter under the supervision of Ms. Kanwardeep Kaur, IPS (SSP UT Chandigarh, Ms. K.M. Pariyanka, IPS (SP City), Sh. Anurag Daru, IPS (SDPO-South West), a team headed by Inspector Jai Parkash Singh, SHO/PS 36 Chandigarh has been constituted, who gear up the source of information and worked out the present case and affected the major recovery.
During the course of investigation, accused persons namely Deepak Khanna @ Tushar S/o Sh. Chaman Lal R/o H No. D-59, East Uttam Nagar New Delhi Age 44 Years, Akash Malhotra S/o Sh. Vinod Kumar Malhotra R/o H No. A-9/101, Moti Nagar new Delhi Age 37 Years and Deepanshu S/o Sh. Nand Kishore R/o H No. 3/51, Moti Nagar New Delhi, Age 25 years have been arrested on 11.01.2026 accordingly.
During the course of investigation, Stolen vehicle i.e. Hyundai Creta registration number No. PB04-AD-9878 along with an i20 car registration no. DL3-CBT-1777(involved in this case), whereas two more vehilcles i.e. Hyundai Creta white colour without number plates and a stero has been recovered from the possession of accused Deepak Khanna.
An another vehicle Toyota Fortuner registration No. RJ 27-UG-4004 and an Aadhar Card of complainant Sh. Kuldeep Singh Brar, has been recovered from the possession of accused Akash Malhotra.
A Bank cheque book of Central Bank of India, belonging to the complainant, Sh. Kuldeep Singh Brar, has been recovered from the possession of accused Deepanshu.
Modus Operandi :-
The accused Deepak Khanna is the main master mind of this vehicle theft Gang, who identify the vehicles and by using TAB, he unlock it and the other co-accused drive the said vehicle and further handed over to Gurmeet Singh @ Kala, a resident of Ludhiana, Punjab, who further manage to sold the said stolen vehicles in Delhi and Mansa area.
KNOW THE ACCUSED: Deepak Khanna @ Tushar S/o Sh. Chaman Lal R/o H No. D-59, East Uttam Nagar New Delhi Age 44 years, Married, Residing at with his wife and children at the given address., Occupation:- Property Dealer at Delhi Recovered 3 Hyundai Creta cars, 01 i20 car, 01 Stereo of Car FIR No. 177/2020 U/s 379, 411 IPC PS 36 Chandigarh Except from this he is also involved in 8 more cases in Chadigarh, 1 case at Kurukshertra, 1 case at Karnal 25 cases at Delhi which would be verified later.
Akash Malhotra S/o Sh. Vinod Kumar Malhotra R/o H No. A-9/101, Moti Nagar New Delhi Age 37 years, Married, Residing at with his wife and children at the given address. Occupation:- Taxi Driver owned by him in Delhi. 01 Toyota Fortuner Car, 01 Aadhar Card of complainant Nil, Deepanshu S/o Sh. Nand Kishore R/o H No. 3/51, Moti Nagar New Delhi, Age 25 years, married, Residing at with his wife and children at the given address. Works in Blinkit Delivery in Delhi. 01 Bank cheque book of complainant Nil
The above said accused persons have been produced before the Hon’ble Court and two days of Police Remand of accused Deepak Khanna has been obtained and co-accused namely Akash Malhotra and Deepanshu has sent into judicial custody. Further Investigation is in progress and more recovery is expected to be affected from the accused.
