Under Operation Gang Bust, team of NDR/Crime Branch, R.K. Puram, Delhi, has arrested a notorious member of the Rohit Godara–Goldy Brar gang, namely Vikas @ Vicky, resident of a village, District Mahendergarh, Haryana. Accused was wanted in FIR No. 75/2025 u/s 25 Arms Act, PS Chanakyapuri, Delhi, and had been declared a Proclaimed Offender (PO) in 05 cases in Haryana and Delhi. He was arrested from Loni, Uttar Pradesh.
In 2023, a reward of Rs. 1,00,000/- had been announced on his arrest by Haryana STF and subsequently arrested by Haryana Police.
On 23.06.2025, staff of Police Station Chanakya Puri intercepted three persons travelling in a car having temporary number plate during night patrolling. During checking, one illegal pistol was recovered from the vehicle. Two accused persons, namely Gurmeet and Amit, were apprehended at the spot, while the third accused, Vikas @ Vicky, managed to escape.
Accordingly, a case vide FIR No. 75/2025 u/s 25 Arms Act, Police Station Chanakyapuri, Delhi, was registered. The accused was subsequently declared absconded in the said case, and proceedings under Section 84 BNSS were initiated against him.
As per the directions of senior officers, the NDR/Crime Branch was assigned the task of apprehending wanted and absconding members of organized gangster groups involved in various criminal cases across Delhi and other states.
During verification, it was revealed that the accused Vikas @ Vicky was working for the notorious Rohit Godara–Goldy Brar gang. He was wanted in FIR No. 75/2025 under Section 25 of the Arms Act, Police Station Chanakyapuri, Delhi, and had been declared a Proclaimed Offender (PO) in 05 cases in Haryana and Delhi. He is allegedly involved in 18 criminal cases related to arms offences, robbery, extortion, and kidnapping, registered in Delhi, Haryana, Rajasthan, and Maharashtra.
Mr. Pankaj Kumar, IPS, DCP, Crime-IV, New Delhi, said, in June 2025, Goldy Brar allegedly made extortion-related threat calls to several businessmen in Delhi. On 23.06.2025, Vikas @ Vicky, along with his associates, allegedly planned a firing incident outside a club on the directions of Goldy Brar and Rohit Godara. However, they were apprehended by the police in the PS Chanakyapuri area, while Vikas managed to escape. He was involved in at least 16 cases in Haryana, Rajasthan, Delhi and Maharashtra.
Sustained efforts were made to gather information regarding the absconding accused Vikas @ Vicky. The dedicated efforts of the team yielded fruitful results, and a specific secret tip-off was received. Acting on this tip-off, the accused Vikas @ Vicky was successfully traced and arrested from Loni, Uttar Pradesh.
In the year 2023, Vikas @ Vicky facilitated 10 members of the Rohit Godara, Lawrence Bishnoi Gang by renting a flat in Gurugram, who had assembled there with the intention of murdering Kaushal Chaudhary, leader of the Kaushal Gang in the court. Acting on timely information, police arrested all members of the Rohit Godara Gang from the said flat. However, Vikas @ Vicky managed to escape from the spot.
Subsequently, a reward of ₹1,00,000/- was announced for information leading to his arrest. After sustained efforts, the accused was successfully arrested from Hisar after a period of six months.
INTERROGATION: During interrogation, it was revealed that the accused has a long criminal history. In 2021, he was lodged in Jaipur Jail, where he came into contact with gangster Lawrence Bishnoi already in Jail. In 2023, he facilities Harry boxer by staying with him at his rented flat in Jaipur. Following internal conflicts between the Lawrence Bishnoi and Rohit Godara-Goldy Brar factions, he aligned himself with Goldy Brar and Rohit Godara and became an active member of their gang.
He allegedly committed robberies and extortion to generate funds for the gang. After being released from jail in 2024, the accused remained absconding and continued his criminal activities until his arrest.
