The Special Judge for PC Act Cases, Satara, on 10.02.2026, has convicted and sentenced the accused public servant, Swapnil Jadhav, Social Security Officer (SSO), Employee’s State Insurance Corporation, (ESIC) Satara, to Imprisonment for One Year with a fine of Rs. 50,000 in a Bribery Case.
The CBI registered the instant case on 28.03.2016 against the said accused based on a written complaint. It was alleged that the accused Swapnil Jadhav demanded a bribe of Rs. 30,000 from the complainant for not imposing a penalty of Rs. 3,00,000 on his Firm for employing more than 10 employees.
After negotiation, the accused agreed to accept a bribe of Rs. 25,000 from the complainant. The CBI laid a trap on 28.03.2016 and caught the accused Swapnil Jadhav along with a private person while accepting bribe of Rs. 25,000 from the complainant. Both the accused were arrested.
After completion of investigation, CBI filed charge-sheet against the accused public servant Swapnil Jadhav and Abhijeet Jadhav (private person) on 28.06.2016.
The Hon’ble Court, after the trial, convicted and sentenced the accused person accordingly.
The accused private person, namely, Abhijit Jadhav has been acquitted of all the charges by the Competent Court.
